Affiliate Terms & Conditions

Effective 2026-05-11. Last updated 2026-05-11.

1. Acceptance & eligibility

These Affiliate Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your participation in the Thorim affiliate program ("Program"). By submitting an application and checking the acceptance box, or by promoting Thorim using your assigned referral link, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into binding contracts. You must own or have lawful authority over the channel(s) you list in your application.

Thorim ("we", "us") reserves the right to accept or reject any application at our discretion, including without explanation. We may suspend or terminate your participation under the rules below.

2. Commission

Launch rate: €15 per qualifying sale during the 60-day launch window that begins the day Thorim officially opens for paid customers via Stripe.

Standard rate: €10 per qualifying sale after the launch window ends. This rate has no expiry.

A "qualifying sale" is a completed purchase of Thorim (€70 one-time fee) by a customer who clicked through your referral link within the cookie window, where the purchase was not refunded, charged back, or otherwise reversed within 30 days.

Commission rates are locked at the moment the sale completes. If we change the program rate, only future sales use the new rate; sales already attributed to you retain their original commission.

3. Attribution

Cookie duration: 30 days from the most recent click on your referral link.

Attribution model: Last-click. Your link must be the final referral source before the purchase, even if the customer clicked another affiliate's link earlier.

Attribution is determined by the value of client_reference_id on the Stripe Checkout Session at the moment of payment. This is populated automatically by our checkout page when the customer's browser carries a valid thorim_aff cookie. You are responsible for sending traffic to thorim.io with your unique ?via=<slug> link so the cookie is set correctly.

4. Payouts — the €100-per-cycle rule

This is the most important payout clause. Read it carefully.

Cycle definition: One "cycle" equals one calendar month, measured in UTC.

Eligibility: You are eligible for payout in any given month only if your commissions earned during the previous full calendar month total €100 or more.

If eligible: Your entire outstanding balance (including any rolled-over balance from earlier cycles) is paid out on the 1st of the month following the qualifying cycle, via your chosen payout method.

If not eligible: No payout is issued that month. Your balance carries forward to the next cycle and continues to accrue. Your balance never expires while your account remains in good standing.

The threshold resets every cycle: Hitting €100 in one cycle does not exempt you from hitting it in future cycles. Each calendar month is evaluated independently.

Worked example.

MonthEarned in cycleEligible?Payout on 1st of next monthBalance carried forward
Jan€50No€0€50
Feb€150Yes (≥€100)€200 (€50 rolled + €150)€0
Mar€50No€0€50
Apr€50No€0€100
May€100Yes (≥€100)€200 (€100 rolled + €100)€0

Payout methods: PayPal, Wise, or bank transfer (SEPA/SWIFT). You set your preferred method and details in your affiliate dashboard. Any fees imposed by your payout method or your bank are deducted from the payout amount.

Currency: All commissions are calculated and paid in Euros (EUR). If your payout method requires conversion, the exchange rate used is the rate available to us at the moment of payment.

5. Restrictions on promotion

You agree to the following restrictions when promoting Thorim. Violations may result in withholding of commissions, suspension, or termination at our sole discretion.

  • No bidding on Thorim branded keywords. You may not bid on "Thorim", "thorim.io", or close variants ("Thorimm", "Thorrim", typos and misspellings, plurals, etc.) in paid search advertising (Google Ads, Bing Ads, Facebook/Meta Ads, Reddit Ads, TikTok Ads, or any other paid search/social platform). Brand-bidding on our own brand will result in commission forfeiture for any sale attributed during the violation period.
  • No coupon, deal, or discount sites. Promotion via coupon aggregators, deal-of-the-day sites, cashback portals, or similar platforms is not permitted, even if no actual coupon is offered.
  • No misleading claims. Do not misrepresent what Thorim does, what it includes, who built it, or what results customers can expect. Specifically: do not claim affiliation with Anthropic, Cursor, Codeium, OpenAI, or Google. Do not claim a partnership or endorsement that does not exist.
  • No spam. Do not promote via unsolicited email, comment spam, forum spam, scraped contact lists, or similar tactics. Anything that would violate the destination platform's terms of service is also not permitted.
  • No self-referrals. You may not purchase Thorim through your own referral link, nor may you arrange for friends, family, employees, or business contacts to do so primarily to generate commission for you. Self-referrals are detected via IP, device fingerprint, and email matching; detected self-referrals are voided and reversed.
  • No squatting. Do not register domain names, social media handles, or app names that include "Thorim" or close variants. Do not impersonate the Thorim brand on any channel.

6. Self-referrals & fraud

We use a combination of IP addresses, device fingerprints, browser cookies, email matching, and behavioural signals to detect self-referrals and fraudulent attribution. If we determine that a sale was attributed to you via a self-referral or fraudulent click, we will reverse the attribution and deduct the corresponding commission from your balance.

Repeated or material fraud results in immediate termination, forfeiture of all unpaid balances, and notification of relevant payment platforms.

7. Refunds & chargebacks

If a customer who was attributed to you refunds their purchase or initiates a chargeback within 30 days of the sale, the commission for that sale is reversed. If the commission was already paid out, the amount is deducted from your next payout.

After 30 days from the sale date, refunds and chargebacks do not affect previously paid commissions, but we reserve the right to reverse commissions on demonstrably fraudulent sales beyond this window.

8. Termination & suspension

Either party may terminate participation in the Program at any time, with or without cause, by providing written notice (email is sufficient) to the other party.

If we terminate your participation due to a violation of these Terms (Section 5 or 6), we may withhold or reverse unpaid commissions associated with the violation. We will pay out the remainder of your earned, eligible balance under the normal €100-per-cycle rule.

If you terminate your own participation in good standing, your accrued balance is paid out on the next eligible payout cycle (i.e. the first month following termination in which the €100 threshold is met, including by rolled-over balance if you earn €0 going forward — meaning you are paid out only when you have at least €100 owed AND your most recent participating cycle earned €100).

9. Tax responsibility

You are solely responsible for declaring and paying any taxes due on commissions you receive, including but not limited to income tax, VAT, GST, withholding tax, and any other tax imposed by your country, state, or local jurisdiction.

We will issue commission payments without any tax withholding unless required by law in our jurisdiction. If withholding is required, we will provide documentation of amounts withheld.

For affiliates based in the European Union, commissions are paid without VAT applied unless you provide us with a valid VAT registration and request VAT-inclusive payment.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email to the address on file in your affiliate account at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued participation in the Program after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

If you do not accept the updated Terms, you may terminate your participation under Section 8 before the effective date. Your accrued, eligible balance will be paid out under the rules that applied before the change.

11. Liability & indemnity

Thorim's total liability to you under these Terms is limited to the total commission paid to you in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or €100, whichever is greater.

You agree to indemnify Thorim against any third-party claim arising from your promotional activities, including but not limited to claims of false advertising, defamation, copyright or trademark infringement, or violation of any other applicable law.

12. Governing law & disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Malta. Any dispute that cannot be resolved by good-faith negotiation between the parties shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Malta.
